I haven’t noticed griefer activity for months now in the sims I am visiting frequently. It seems they come and go, and the more succesful a business is, the more griefers you can get. Whatever. I was visiting the region of Daikoku today, which is always quite populated because Blackheart’s Cafe is in it and became the witness of a griefer attack.
Well, I’ve taken a look at the objects, filed an abuse report, but this is not going to help much, I guess, because the owner of the scripts was just created today and I bet there is soon going to be another avatar.
[Mehr]There’s a 3rd party statistical tool available for free called SLStats over at SLBuzz.com. It works like that: you visit their in world store, get a sensor - one per avatar only is their policy. You need to get an account over there to make it work. Then you should place it at the main telehub of your place/sim and let it do its magic.
It’s submitting the statistics on a regular base and you can take a look at your statistics then on a login protected webpage. A sample report is visible here. It looks quite good and reasonable, well, more like a logfile analyzer for a web server like Apache than the normal traffic counts. But, of course, the weakness of all such external solutions is - it has no impact on the in world search, if not all major sims are using it to report their traffic, it’s still useful for the place/sim owner, but you cannot count really on the traffic comparison lists if there are major places still missing.
[Mehr]Today I tried to teleport in the sim of Wales. Yes, that’s the sim which had Sinners Paradise in it and closed in January for the public due to massive and repeated griefer attacks. There’s now also a new, adjacent sim in the making, Welsh Falls.
Well, I tried the teleport, it worked - interesting, since it was closed for so long. Seems it is open again for the public, the entrance area has changed, landscape looks more or less the same like before, now I wonder if this is wanted, and if it is really back in business again, how long it takes before this place kicks ass again.
